This isn't a list of all restaurants who offer take-out. It's a list of independent restaurants who've had to adapt to remain in business.
When times are good the profit margins in the restaurants industry are in the 5-10% range which means making money is already difficult. And with the recent mandate within the City of Vancouver to close their dining rooms, many restaurants have shuttered their premises with no idea if they will open their doors again. Ian Tostenson, president of the BC Restaurant and Food Services Association, estimates 15% of these restaurants might not re-open and personally I think that number is on the low side. That’s why we need to support the restaurants who have moved to a take-out model to remain in business. Because if we don’t, our favourite establishments might not be there when this is all over.
There are some great deals to be had right now with a number of restaurants offering 10-20% off their regular menu prices. And to make it as safe as possible, most are encouraging ordering by phone, email or via their websites and delivering the food to your car, curb-side.
Due to the ever-changing lanscape of the Vancouver restaurant scene, I have been unable to keep up. Therefore these resources are likely out of date. However the content is still correct, there are just way more restaurants offering food than what I have documented here.

To be considered the restaurant needs to be independent (not a chain) and did not offer take-out before the COVID-19 pandemic.
